Complete Workflow for Manage Fuzzy Search for Website Odoo App
Install the Fuzzy Search for Website Odoo App module and navigate to Website → Configuration → Settings. Enable the fuzzy search feature and configure the Fuzzy Search Score Percentage to define how closely customer search queries must match product names. A higher score returns stricter and more precise search results, while a lower score allows more flexible matching and displays a broader range of relevant products. This lets you fine-tune the balance between search accuracy and result coverage according to your business needs. Once configured, customers can search your website using partial product names, misspelled words, or similar keywords. The module intelligently finds and displays the most relevant products based on the configured similarity score, helping customers discover products faster and improving their overall shopping experience.
1. Set the Fuzzy Search Score Percentage to 40% in Website Settings and save the configuration.
2. Search for "chair corner" on the website. The lower score returns 6 matching products with flexible fuzzy search.
3. Increase the Fuzzy Search Score Percentage to 95% to require much closer search matches.
4. Search for "chair corner" again. The stricter score now returns only 2 highly relevant products.
5. Change the Fuzzy Search Score Percentage to 5% for the broadest possible fuzzy matching.
6. Search for "chair corner" once more. The very low score displays 15 matching products.
7. Set the Fuzzy Search Score Percentage back to 50% for a balanced search experience.
8. Search for "chairblackdesk". The balanced score intelligently finds 5 relevant products despite the combined search keywords.
